Iconix Opens Hollywood
Office at Sunset Gower Studios Anna Alcorn Hired as Senior Account Manager to Provide Sales
Support and Customer Service
Santa Barbara, CA: January 2, 2008 -- Iconix Video, manufacturer of
the HD-RH1, the world's smallest professional quality HD video
camera, today announced the opening of its new Hollywood offices
at Sunset Gower Studios. Anna Alcorn (formerly Anna LaRochelle),
previously with Panavision's Plus 8 Digital, has been hired as
Senior Account Manager to provide sales and support.
Strategically located to serve the film and television
communities, the new offices at Sunset Gower Studios will provide
Iconix customers with 24/7 access to sales support and customer
service. The expansion of the Iconix sales force will support
the continued growth of the company and the HD-RH1, and signals
the increased adoption of the camera system among filmmakers and
broadcasters alike.
The Iconix HD-RH1 has been used to capture high-definition
footage for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, as well as by
3Ality's Steve Schklair for various 3D projects. Most recently,
the HD-RH1 has been used to capture digital high definition
bullfighting footage for ESPN's new multi-themed primetime
newsmagazine show 'E:60'.

"Our goal is to increase both our visibility within the film and
television communities and our accessibility to our customers,"
said Anna Alcorn, Senior Account Manager, Iconix. "Digital
acquisition is becoming more ubiquitous in both television and
moviemaking, and the HD-RH1 is perfectly suited to handle
projects of any scale that require a small-format camera where
image quality is of utmost importance."
Alcorn initially trained at the Los Angeles Film School where she learned the
ins and outs of 16mm, 35mm and HD cameras and camera packages. Alcorn joined
Panavision's Plus 8 Digital division in 2002 and, over the course of her
five-year tenure with the company, supplied camera packages for countless
television series and pilots, commercials, documentaries and feature film
projects. As prep technician, Alcorn initially assisted with assembling camera
packages, becoming a drive-on fixture at every Hollywood lot, the ASC clubhouse
and the IATSE 600 office. Quickly promoted to senior prep technician, Alcorn
began demonstrating cameras and camera packages, working with ILM technicians
on camera builds for Star Wars: Episode III, and demonstrating the Sony HDC-950
for Steven Soderbergh on Solaris.
Alcorn's growing technical expertise led her in 2004 to the
marketing side of Plus 8 Digital, where she was responsible for
assembling first and second unit camera packages for television
productions for Fox, Paramount, NBC Universal and the Food
Network, including How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Back to
You, Dexter, Everyday Italian and Everybody Hates Chris. |
