Iconix Video Introduces the Studio2K Camera3CCD POV Camera System Provides 2K Capability for Digital Cinema and Stereo 3D Applications
Santa Barbara, CA: APRIL 8, 2008 – Iconix Video, a leading developer of advanced high definition camera systems, digital cinema and end-to-end stereoscopic 3D workflow solutions, today announced the production of the next generation of the company’s HD-RH1F camera, the Studio2K. The Studio2K is compatible with the current line of Iconix camera products, and is the only point-of-view (POV) camera system capable of 2K digital cinema outputs. “We are extremely pleased to be introducing the Studio2K,” said Iconix CEO Bruce K. Long. “This new 2K capable camera system signals the continued expansion of Iconix into the digital cinema market, and is ideally suited for stereoscopic 3D applications. As the company makes its move from camera company to integrated service provider, Iconix will continue to develop technology for digital cinema and stereoscopic 3D production and post production.” The Studio2K is ideal for shooting scenarios that require very small, lightweight cameras without compromising professional image quality. The Studio2K camera system will be on display at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 14-18 during NAB 2008 in the Iconix booth, #SU6426, located on the upper level of the South Hall. About the Studio2K Camera System With a total of 45 unprecedented format and frame rate conversions, the Studio2K camera system captures and outputs video for 2K digital cinema formats, including 2048 x 1080p and 2048 x 1080PsF at rates of 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 frames-per-second (fps), as well as HD resolutions of 720p, 1080i and 1080p at rates of 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60fps, and NTSC and PAL.  |
