Digital I/O Package (Cont.)

The CCU will be outfitted with a receptacle that accepts industry-standard fiber optic SFP (Small Form Pluggable) modules. Iconix provides a twin-Tx module with the option package, which can be configured for either a twin single-link output, or a dual-link 4:4:4 output. These modules can also be swapped out for a single Tx, single Rx, or Tx/Rx transceivers, as well as other third party SFP modules.

The option package also offers the ability to genlock the camera to a serial digital signal, either SDI or fiber. An additional BNC connector is added to the CCU to accept an SD-SDI or HD-SDI sync source for providing precise, consistent, and repeatable digital synchronization, eliminating problems inherent with analog sync such as the need to pixel-adjust out offsets and ambiguity, multiple terminations, and unnecessary added jitter to the digital output.

With dual SD/HD-SDI connectors already standard to the HD-RH1, multiple cameras can be easily genlocked to a single SDI link by daisy-chaining the SDI inputs and outputs. For fiber users, the addition of a fiber Rx/Tx module will allow the camera to seamlessly transmit fiber and genlock to an incoming fiber serial link at the same time. New Iconix Remote Control Panel: In tune with the company’s mission to offer the industry with complete solutions, Iconix is announcing a new Remote Control Panel (RCP) for its video camera products. A prototype of the RCP will be shown at NAB2007, and it is slated for availability in August 2007.
